This is an automatic livestock watering bowl (often referred to as an auto-drinker or automatic water trough). It is designed to provide a continuous supply of fresh, clean water to farm animals like cows, horses, goats, sheep, and pigs while minimizing water waste and manual labor.
How It Works
- Nose Paddle Trigger: The black lever in the center acts as a mechanical switch. When an animal presses its nose or snout down into the bowl to drink, it pushes the lever back.
- Automatic Refill: Pushing the lever opens an internal valve, releasing water directly into the bowl. Once the animal lifts its head, the lever springs back, shutting off the water flow instantly to prevent overflowing.
